Ich möchte ein EIKI NPC-1 Interface mit einem Sharp LCD-Projektor einsetzen. Kann das NPC-1 Interface mit anderen Projektor-Marken genutzt werden?

Ja. Das NPC-1 Interface kann für unterschiedliche Projektor-Marken eingesetzt werden. Bitte achten Sie auf unterschiedliche RS232-Einstellungen.

Ich möchte ein SHARP AN-LS1 Interface mit einem EIKI, Sanyo oder Canon LCD-Projektor einsetzen. Kann das Interface mit diesen Marken benutzt werden?

Ja. Das AN-LS1 Interface kann für unterschiedlichen Projektor-Marken eingesetzt werden. Bitte achten Sie auf unterschiedliche RS232-Einstellungen.

Question:
An older EIKI projector model is connected to the NPC-1. My NetControl software supports this legacy model. When I want to control the projector nothing works. I use the original serial cable supplied with the projector.

Answer:
With the original serial cable pin 7 and pin 8 on the DB9 connector are connected by a shortcut. Both pins are connected to pin 5 on the 8-pin mini DIN connector. NPC-1 flow control is set to "none". Because of this special wiring please set the flow control to "RTS/CTS". If you do not want to change flow control please use a third party cable with only RxD, TxD and GND connected.

Question:
Can I use the event manager or the control manager when the theft control is active?

Answer:
Yes. The theft control is completely independent from all other NetControl features and can be used without any interference.

Question:
I can not find the NPC-1 device by using the "Search Network" button in the main application control bar. Where are my TCP/IP interfaces?

Answer:
Make sure you are using the same subnet mask on your computer and the NPC-1 device. The factory default subnet mask for the NPC-1 is 255.255.255.0. If you are using the NPC-1 with a cross over cable please use a fixed IP address on your PC (e.g. 192.168.0.95). The factroy default IP address of the NPC-1 is 192.169.0.99. If you are not sure about your IP address and subnet mask please select in the help menu the "About..." sub menu. Click the "Network Information" button to read the current IP address and subnet mask of your computer.

In bigger networks routers are blocking broadcast messages. Broadcasts are needed to find NPC-1 devices. Please enter manually all IP addresses to activate the NPC-1 devices.

Question:
I found the NPC-1 interface on the network. My software gives me the following error messages: "Get Server information error " and "Login error, Please Refer Error Code." with the error codes -3 and -4. Is my configuration incorrect?

Answer:
You are probably running a firewall on your computer. Please make sure the firewall allows network traffic from and to the NPC-1 device. Maybe your computer receives the IP address and the subnet mask form a DHCP server. For initial NPC-1 installation please use a fixed IP address on your computer or use our setup tool for the serial interface of the NPC-1.

Question:
How can I setup the Sharp AN-LS1 interface?

Answer:
The Sharp AN-LS1 TCP/IP interface can be configured through telnet. Please carefully read the documentation supplied with your Sharp interface. After successful configuration please click on the "Root System" in the NetControl software and click the right mouse button. Select "New TCP/IP interface..." to install the Sharp AN-LS1 in your software.

Question:
I can not change my IP address on my computer to setup the NPC-1 interface. How can I setup the NPC-1 interface?

Answer:
Please use our NPC setup tool. This tool allows you to setup the NPC-1 through the RS-232 port of your computer. You need a null modem cable for the connection of the NPC-1 interface and your computer.
